COVID-19 Info

Our Housekeeping staff here at Waves Luxury Apartments are chosen for their ability to pay attention to detail, and clean each apartment to an extremely high standard, this is something we pride ourselves on. So, when the COVID-19 Pandemic began in February 2020, we introduced extra measures and protocols to ensure you and your family remain safe while staying here at Waves Luxury Apartments.
With another outbreak of Covid-19 in New Zealand and the move to alert levels (2-4) again, the staff here at Waves Luxury Apartments want to reassure you, and give you peace of mind during your stay with us. This is our priority. We ask you to assist us with the following procedures:

CHECKING IN

Whenever possible we will promote completely contactless check in. You will be emailed/phoned prior to your check in date to go through this in detail.
On arrival all guests and their visitors are required to scan in using the QR codes attached to the doors at reception and on each of the stairwell entry’s. We will also ask all guests to complete a ‘Guest Registration’ form on arrival. Information supplied is kept strictly confidential.
Hand sanitizer is located on the reception counter and all of the stairwell entry’s.
If an invoice is needed for your stay, we will email this to you.
Please only park in the carpark space which is allocated to your apartment. They are all numbered and these numbers correspond with the number to your apartment.
The stairwell entry doors will be opened every morning at 7am and closed at 9pm to reduce the number of door handles that have to be touched. These handles are sprayed regularly with a commercial grade spray that kills the Covid-19 Virus. There is hand sanitizer located in each stairwell entry.
We ask all guests to adhere to social distancing regulations when moving around the complex, especially while using the stairwells or elevator. Please only use the elevator with people who are in your ‘Bubble’.

DURING YOUR STAY

The apartments are thoroughly cleaned prior to your stay and after your stay with a commercial grade cleaner that kills the Covid-19 Virus. This is used on all surfaces including: door handles, light switches, kitchen cupboard surfaces and handles, the Fridge, the TV and Heat Pump remotes and all surfaces in the bathrooms, even the keys are sprayed with the solution.
After cleaning, the Apartment is aired and left for 72 hours before the next guests are checked in.
If you are staying multiple nights, we unfortunately CANNOT do a daily service of your apartment. We are quite happy to provide you with fresh towels and more beverages daily. Please just call reception on 03 319 5891 and we will arrange contactless delivery of these to your apartment.
As we cannot service your apartment we are unable to empty your bins. Rubbish Bins and Recycling bins are located at the back of the complex, access is via the doors at the back of each garage.

CHECKING OUT

When checking out, please leave your apartment key/keys on the kitchen bench and pull the apartment door shut behind you when you leave.
If you require a ‘Tax Invoice’ for your stay with us, we will arrange to email this to you.

GENERAL INFORMATION

If you should become ill during your stay with us, and you think it may be COVID-19, please stay in your apartment, and contact the free Healthline number immediately on 0800 358 5453. They will advise you on what you need to do.

COVID-19 symptoms
Symptoms can include one or more of the following:
a fever of at least 38°C
a new or worsening cough
sore throat
shortness of breath
sneezing and runny nose
temporary loss of smell or altered sense of taste.

Less common symptoms may include:
diarrhoea
headache
muscle pain or body aches
nausea
vomiting
confusion or irritability.

These symptoms do not necessarily mean you have COVID-19. The symptoms are like other illnesses that are much more common, such as colds and flu.
Shortness of breath is a sign of possible pneumonia and requires immediate medical attention.

Time for symptoms to appear
Symptoms can take up to 14 days to show after infection. A person with COVID-19 can pass it on to others from up to 2 days before showing symptoms.
Sometimes people may have COVID-19, but not have any symptoms.
